The company’s story begins in 1954, i.e. almost 60 years ago.
Interior designer Heinz Clausen founded a small joinery company in Kronach in 1954. The company carried out interior modifications and shop fitting. With only basic materials and 2 employees, furnishings and fittings were designed, manufactured and installed locally.
In the 70s, attacks on banks were on the increase, so the company specialised in equipping bank counters with strengthened glass, and in conjunction, developed the first pass-throughs and transfer trays.
Security demands continued to increase and over the years, the company specialised more and more in the manufacture of pass-throughs, transfer units and intercom systems.
In 1975, the son, Olaf Clausen, became the Managing Director.
The works and office buildings were extended further in 1980, 1985, 1990 and 1996. SITEC now manufactures in a 5500m2 area.
Our manufacturing equipment has also been continually updated; currently our machinery includes three modern Trumpf punching and cutting machines.
SITEC employs 80 specialists in metalworking, electronics, joinery, painting, installation and administration. Our design engineers use modern CAD systems with SolidWorks and Logocad.
The range of products is constantly being developed: in addition to pass-throughs, bullet-, burglar- and bomb-resistant doors and partition walls, lockers, fully equipped temporary and mobile banks, we also offer biometric access systems.
SITEC can also design, manufacture and deliver complete systems and projects such as gatehouse lodges, personnel locks and entry systems with demanding security requirements.
SITEC also manufactures customised products and systems to customer specification.
